Home on the Range

A few of you have asked to see the house we are living in--so here it is. It is turned sideways on the lot so from the street you see a gorgeous view of the side. But that also means that no one can see in either and I like that.

This is the van we bought for $3000.
It is a Honda Stepwagon and I'm already enjoying all the great things a van has to offer. Before we moved here the kids used to chant, "a van in Japan!" Now their wish has come true and I couldn't be happier.

Saturday we went to Kadena Marina and once again our kids were the only ones in the water. That's what I like about them. Now I'm a complete chicken and won't get in cold water, but I'm glad they are like JeriLynn and not me.

  2. Yippee for minivans! We bought a Honda Odyssey shortly after Grant was born (because John's little black Civic finally bit the dust). I couldn't be happier being a minivan mom. One of my friends calls hers a Yuppy pick-up. Yup. I got me one of those. :P

I can't believe how big your boys are getting. And Jackson's eyes. Wow! Can you believe that Grant is already almost 2 1/2? I can't.

  3. Miss you sooooo much. Had to wipe away the tears so I could type this. Wonderful to see your new digs! What an adventure. Seeing your kids splashing in the water reminded me of our camping trip to Kiser Lake, when the kids were splashing in the lake in their diapers. The girls were so tiny and it was sooo cold. But we did it, and we did it well. Keep the pictures coming. Ohh, and I need your APO address, please! LOVE YOU!

  4. I love having a visual of where you are living and your "new" house! I'm glad the kids are enjoying the water and appreciate the nod to their inherited tolerance for cold water. Does the water warm up in the summer? The water in the NW never gets very warm...as you well know. Miss you loads. JL
